Meet Our Speakers
Kerry Khoo Fazari
Senior Director, Data Science & Engineering – RBC
​
Kerry heads the Data Science and Engineering team within the Chief Data Office. She comes with 20
years of experience in data science in banking. She has a PhD in Engineering from the University of
Toronto. Prior to RBC, she was at CIBC in Decision Science, Retail Banking and at TD US in Client
Analytics prior to CIBC. In her spare time, she’s an avid cyclist and plays the piano, violin and flute from
time to time. She used to play the violin with the Chamber String Orchestra at Hart House (UofT).
Roksana Tkachenko
Director, Digital Product Analytics - RBC
In her current role, Roksana Ieads a team of insight analysts who drive RBC’s digital businesses forward.
Her team is responsible for unlocking data-driven insights that lead to better client experiences and
optimized bank practices.

Prior to joining the Digital Intelligence Group, Roksana held a number of positions at Canadian and US financial institutions and a management consulting firm. Throughout her career, Roksana has been leveraging data to help clients make better decisions, advance or course correct their strategies.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics and Political Science from the University of
Toronto and a Master of Science Degree in Financial Engineering from World Quant University.
Hanieh Bastani
Machine Learning Engineering Lead - Borealis AI

Hanieh has been a passionate software engineer for over 10 years, working in diverse applications from finance, to security and authentication, to green energy. She has worked at every level of the software stack. What consistently motivates her is a good challenging problem, a whiteboard, and amazing
colleagues to brainstorm with. When she's not working, Hanieh is keeping up with her endlessly energetic toddler.
