Join us in-person at the Toronto Reference Library where you will learn more about the foundations of AI through a breakdown of the book Weapons of Math Destruction by Cathy O'Neil. In this three-part series, we learn about algorithms that impact our daily lives and the lack of explainability for models with high levels of impact through reading Weapons of Math Destruction by Cathy O'Neil. We will cover a few chapters each session with study guides as accompaniments to expose you to these concepts and spur discussions as a group. Toronto Public Library is pleased to present Innovator in Resident Kishawna Peck. This 10-week residency is a journey into the multi-faceted world of Artificial Intelligence, and will run from October 3rd- December 10th, 2022 Toronto Public Library is committed to accessibility.
